W&W Software Products GmbH has two legally independent branches in Bergisch Gladbach and Leipzig with different fields of business activity. W&W Software Products GmbH is listed in the commercial register with the number HRB 7649.

Chronicle

The company W&W was established at 14.03.1984 as civil law association. The name W&W stands for the first names of the two founders, Dr. Wolfgang Baltes and Wilfried Kötz. In 1985 the association was transformed to a limited liability company. The company name W&W Software Products - with add on “GmbH” - was kept, even when although Dr. Baltes was not working for W&W any more. The company name results of the past principal activity, programming of software in machine language for handhelds from Hewlett Packard.

Important steps

• 1984 – Establishment and activity in software development on machine code basis
• 1985 – First distribution agreement with Hewlett-Packard regarding PCs
• 1986 – Relocation into larger premises
• 1991 – First wide range crosslinking over modem with remote management facility for a customer
• 1992 – First east contact and planning and setting up of a branch in Leipzig. Enlargement of the nation wide service network for networking and accessories.
• 1993 – Nation wide network installation, distribution and service
• 1994 - Establishment of a support centre in Bergisch Gladbach and enlargement of nation wide customer support
• 2000 – Distributor for VoIP products and cable modems. Planning and realisation of VoIP communication solutions
• 2001 – Professional training: Basics of VoIP – VoIP uses in practice
